Elusive Youngstown State WR with Untapped Potential
Jake Coates, a dynamic wide receiver for the Youngstown State Penguins, stands out with his quick-twitch agility and reliable hands in traffic, making him a mismatch nightmare for DBs in the MVFC; despite limited snaps as a freshman in 2025 (8 rec, 92 yds, 11.5 avg), his high-motor intensity and route-running savvy scream breakout candidate for 2026, especially post-injury recovery—perfect fit for teams needing a gritty, scheme-versatile slot weapon who elevates in clutch moments.
