Trey Calhoun brings a physical, tackle-first edge to Southern’s linebacker room
Trey Calhoun profiles as a physical, tackle-oriented linebacker with a reputation for being disruptive in the run game and projecting to a larger defensive role for Southern University. His value is less about flash and more about reliable contact, toughness, and downhill urgency — the kind of defender who can set a tone and fit well in an aggressive front. Publicly available current production details are limited, but outside evaluations describe him as a grow-into-the-role linebacker who should appeal to teams that want intensity, durability, and a blue-collar style on defense.
