High-velo righty with real bat-missing juice, still smoothing out the command
In the 2026 season, Jack Cropper entered as a redshirt sophomore after an injury lost him the 2024 year, then flashed strikeout upside in limited work for Northeastern, including 9 K in 6.2 innings in 2025 and a career-high five strikeouts against Merrimack. He was ranked the No. 1 right-handed pitcher in Massachusetts by Perfect Game and No. 28 nationally out of high school, which tracks with the live arm and punch-out ability. The big question for a team: can the stuff keep getting starter-quality command, or is he best deployed as a power relief weapon?
