Justin Hughes brings veteran linebacker juice to James Madison
Justin Hughes is listed on James Madison’s 2026 football roster as a linebacker and redshirt senior at 240 pounds, which signals a mature, physically developed player who should fit a defense looking for experience and toughness[1]. Because the available public roster data is thin on 2026 game stats, the key takeaway is profile-based: he looks like an inside-the-box defender built for contact, reliability, and leadership rather than flash, which can be exactly the kind of glue guy a good team wants. If your roster needs a seasoned, physical LB who can handle traffic and set the tone, Hughes is worth attention[1].
