LIU’s Gavin Sansone looks like a sturdy left-handed arm with championship experience
Gavin Sansone is listed on LIU’s 2026 baseball roster as a left-handed pitcher, and the biggest reason to care is simple: he has already been part of a Sharks program that reached the NEC title game in 2025, where LIU’s walk-off win was set up by him being brought home in the ninth inning[1][2]. The public roster data does not show season pitching stats for him yet, so the real draw is profile-based: a lefty on a competitive staff, with in-program experience and a track record of being around high-leverage baseball[1][2]. If you want a clean-fit bullpen or rotation piece with some edge and postseason familiarity, Sansone is worth a look[1][2].
