a steady, defense-minded NC State guard with playmaking pop
Degand was a tough, versatile backcourt piece for NC State, bringing **secondary playmaking**, active hands, and enough size for a guard at 6-4 to help on both ends; his box-score profile shows modest scoring but useful assists, steals, and rebounding for the 2009-10 season, and he had flashes of scoring upside, including a 14-point game against Wake Forest. He’s the kind of guard you care about if you value competitiveness, connective passing, and dependable rotational toughness over high-usage shot creation.
