Former four-star Rutgers edge recruit with power, toughness, and wrestling grit
Djwany Mera came to Rutgers as a four-star prep-school defensive end and a top-10 junior-college/prep prospect, built like a classic trench brawler at 6-4, 255 with a wrestling background that hints at leverage, hand-fighting, and finishing power. In his Rutgers bio, he arrived after piling up 103 tackles, 38 tackles for loss, and 21 sacks in high school, which explains why he profiles as the kind of DL who can disrupt plays, not just occupy blockers. If your team wants intensity, physicality, and a high-motor edge presence, he fits the mold.
