Craig Coffin’s leg built a Saluki legacy
In the 2003-06 seasons, Southern Illinois kicker Craig Coffin was a steady, high-leverage weapon: he set the school and Missouri Valley Football Conference career scoring record with 379 points, made 50 of 63 field goals, and hit 66 of 66 extra points in 2004. He was a two-time All-American and helped the Salukis reach four NCAA playoff teams, which screams clutch reliability and consistency over flash. If a team wants a kicker with proven big-game composure, Coffin is the definition of “set it and forget it.”
