UMBC’s Stealing Forward with All-Time Scoring Legacy
Chase Plummer, a senior forward for the UMBC Retrievers, is a high-intensity, defensively disruptive player who ranks ninth on UMBC’s all-time scoring list (1,317 points) and fourth in steals (157) across 118 games [1][8]. In the 2024–25 season, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game with a 40.1% field-goal rate, showcasing his versatility as a scorer and ball-hawker [5][8]. His differentiator is elite steal production paired with consistent scoring—rare for a forward—and a reputation for relentless defensive intensity. While his 30.2% three-point shooting limits perimeter threat [8], his physicality, hustle, and experience make him a strong fit for teams needing a tough, battle-tested forward who elevates defensive pressure and contributes in clutch moments.
