Joey Chitla brings gold-glove infield defense and high-academic upside to William & Mary
Chitla profiles as a polished middle infielder whose calling card is defense: he has earned two gold glove awards and was a top conference finisher with North Raleigh Christian Academy, while also producing as a contact-and-speed bat with doubles, hits, triples, and steals in high school. He was also described as a leader academically and in community service, suggesting a high-motor, coachable fit rather than a purely tools-based prospect. For a team needing steadiness, effort, and reliable up-the-middle versatility, he looks like a strong culture add with real defensive value.
