Darius Safford brings veteran CB polish and coach-level football IQ to Georgia Southern
Darius Safford is a Georgia Southern graduate student cornerback whose game is built on experience, technique, and edge: in his 2013 season, he logged 21 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and four pass breakups, and later returned to the program as a coach, which speaks volumes about his football IQ and leadership. He’s the kind of defender who fits teams that value disciplined coverage, communication, and toughness over flash, though current 2026 stat production wasn’t available in the gathered sources.
