DePaul's Peoria Guard Who Graduated in 2005
Marlon Brooks, a gritty point guard from Peoria, IL, wrapped up his DePaul career in 2005 undrafted after posting modest NCAA averages of 4.5 PPG, 1.8 RPG, and 1.4 APG with a 40.0 FG% per ESPN stats—solid bench contributor but never a stat leader. His journey from Manual High School via Lincoln College JUCO to the Blue Demons highlights resilience and hustle, though limited scoring punch kept him off NBA radars. Fun fact: Not a current prospect; sadly, a different Marlon E. Brooks passed in 2024. Great role player fit for developmental squads, but no longer active.
