Zach Greenberg is Winthrop’s steady-contact catcher with award-level defense
In the 2026 season, Zach Greenberg hit .288 with a .705 OPS and 21 hits in 73 at-bats for Winthrop, while also earning 2025 All-SAC First Team Defense and 2025 All-SAC Second Team honors[1][8]. He’s a useful fit if you want a catcher who brings reliable bat-to-ball skills, doubles pop, and a defense-first identity rather than flash; Winthrop’s roster bio also notes his honor-roll background and finance major, which points to a composed, detail-oriented profile[1].
