Maryland's Top Catcher Prospect Poised to Shine for UCF Knights
Dallas Brooks, the #1 catcher in Maryland and #32 nationally from John Carroll HS, brings an athletic 6-2 frame, elite 98.9 mph exit velocity, and advanced catch-and-throw defense to UCF as a 2026 freshman—his smooth swing, quick arm, and power to all fields mark him as a MLB Draft riser with pro-level tools already. Scouts rave about his defensive edge over hitting, making him a high-upside backstop ideal for teams needing a reliable, intense leader behind the plate.
