veteran Bears tight end with short-yardage juice
Josh Mattes brings old-school, position-flex toughness to Missouri State: the program’s roster bio describes him as a seasoned veteran and solid competitor with short-yardage value, and the 2014 roster listed him at 6-foot-2, 241 pounds as a TE. He stands out less as a stat-sheet star and more as a reliable trench-friendly weapon who can help in physical, low-margin situations. If a team wants a tight end who plays with edge, handles contact, and understands complementary football, Mattes fits the bill.
