Idaho State DB with roster-level promise, but limited public stat trail
Brett Bankus is on Idaho State’s defensive back group, but there isn’t enough publicly available 2026 production data to call him a stat-sheet star yet. What stands out is roster fit: he’s part of a deep Bengals secondary and profiles as a developmental, coverage-first defensive back whose value will hinge on assignment discipline, tackling reliability, and special-teams utility. If you’re looking for a proven ballhawk, the public numbers don’t scream it yet; if you want a coachable defender with room to grow, he’s worth a closer look.
