DeShawndre Black brings steady guard play and veteran feel to Detroit Mercy
DeShawndre Black looks like a dependable, pass-first guard for Detroit Mercy, with career production showing he can handle the ball, create for teammates, and chip in defensively; ESPN listed him at 4.3 points, 2.0 assists, and 35.5% shooting, while Detroit’s roster bio credits him with seasons of solid assist numbers and steals. His best fit is a team that values poise, unselfishness, and low-drama minutes — the kind of guard who keeps an offense organized, not flashy, but useful in the margins.
