Southern Jaguars' Steady Placekicker with Limited Spotlight Stats
Taylor Merritt, the placekicker for Southern University Jaguars, brings reliability to special teams as seen in his detailed 2019 NCAAF gamelog on ESPN, though specific kick success rates remain elusive in public data—highlighting his role as a dependable, low-error specialist in FCS play. With no notable injury history and a background from Plano, TX high school highlights showing athletic versatility, he's a low-risk fit for teams needing consistent field position control and pressure performance, making him intriguing for practice squads or depth charts without the flash of Power 5 stars.
