Towson LB Ernie Listman brings veteran depth and instinctive toughness
Ernie Listman is a long-tenured Towson linebacker whose value is built on experience, physicality, and reliable football instincts more than flash. Towson’s 2026 stat sheet shows the Tigers have played a tight early-season defensive game, and a veteran LB like Listman fits that kind of “see-ball, hit-ball” identity[1]. His biggest differentiator is trust: older defenders who understand alignment, run fits, and communication tend to earn snaps even when the stat line is quiet, and Listman’s multi-year presence suggests exactly that[3]. If a team wants a steady, assignment-sound linebacker who can stabilize the middle, he looks like a sensible fit[3].
