Aidan Terronez is a fresh lefty arm UIC trusts in big spots
In the 2026 season, Aidan Terronez emerged as a useful bullpen piece and occasional starter for UIC, including a win over Incarnate Word and a scoreless frame in the NCAA Atlanta Regional opener against Georgia Tech. He’s a 6'1", 175-pound left-hander whose appeal is simple: strike-throwing, composure, and the ability to miss bats in short bursts, especially against lineups that struggle with same-side pitching. UIC also labeled him one of its key pitching additions entering 2026, which is a nice little tell that the staff sees real upside.
