Versatile DB/RB Prospect Flying Under Radar at Kansas
Malik Johnson, a 6-1, 205-pound safety from Menlo-Atherton HS (CA), earned three-star ratings from Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports as a high school standout before joining Kansas as a 5-9 RB in 2021; his explosive playmaking—highlighted by defensive stats like 2 sacks and 2 tackles in limited college action per Fox Sports—marks him as a twitched-up athlete with positional versatility, ideal for teams needing intense, multi-faceted defenders who can flip to skill roles. No major injury flags, high-motor personality shines in recruiting tape—prime transfer portal gem for depth and upside.
