Robert Armes brings compact, physical depth to FAU’s backfield
Robert Armes is a compact, 5-foot-8 running back who gives Florida Atlantic a physical change-of-pace option with some burst, and his most eye-catching college production came in 2023 against North Alabama, when he turned three carries into 78 yards and a touchdown. He previously averaged 2.0 yards per carry at Clemson on limited touches, so the profile is more about downhill grit and short-area explosiveness than volume production. If you need a depth back who can press the hole, handle contact, and offer upside in the right package, he’s worth a look.
