T.J. Searcy brings edge-setting, run-defense value to Texas A&M
Searcy is a 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive end whose best trait is reliable run defense: Texas A&M sources and scouting reports describe him as a strong edge-setter with good pad level, active hands, and consistent effort, and he earned a career-high 77.6 PFF run-defense grade in 2025 while posting 31 tackles, 6.5 TFLs and 1.5 sacks in his first Aggie season.[5][13] He was also a Freshman All-SEC selection at Florida in 2023 and has shown steady production, which makes him a solid fit for a team wanting a disciplined, physical front-seven piece more than a pure bend-the-corner pass-rush specialist.[9][11]
