UNC cornerback Ben Stobaugh brings veteran walk-on grit and special-teams value
Ben Stobaugh is a depth corner for North Carolina with a sturdy, team-first profile: UNC lists him as a 5-10, 160-pound redshirt freshman from Fort Myers, while a recent roster bio also describes him as a sophomore-sized defensive back, and the common thread is clear—he’s a grinder who has carved out a role through reliability rather than flash.[1][2] His most notable differentiator is versatility and buy-in, with UNC noting appearances in 11 games at cornerback and on special teams plus a team-captain nod against Georgia Tech, which screams trust from coaches even if the stat sheet stays modest.[2]
