Charleston’s trusted lefty with starter upside
In the 2026 season, Hayden Thomas has been a key left-handed arm for Charleston, opening the year as the Cougars’ Opening Day starter and earning CAA preseason honorable mention after a solid 2025 campaign (2-1, 4.34 ERA, 44 strikeouts in 56.0 innings). He’s a 6-foot, 190-pound junior who works as a starter/reliever hybrid, and the appeal is his strike-throwing, toughness, and ability to give length when needed. The one caution flag: his 2026 results have been uneven at times, so he looks like a competitive, useful fit rather than a polished frontline ace.
