a veteran Iowa State interior lineman with reliable size and experience
In the 2003 season, Matt Bockes was a senior offensive lineman at Iowa State listed at 6-0, 290 pounds, bringing veteran know-how and interior toughness to the Cyclones’ front. Sources describe him as a steady line presence who understood the calls and could step in cleanly, which matters more than box-score stats for an OL. He’s a fit for teams that value experience, consistency, and gritty, assignment-sound blocking over flash.
