versatile North Florida guard with veteran glue-guy value
Germaine Sparkes is a 6-6, 200-pound guard who gave North Florida length, rebounding, and defensive disruption; in the 2008-09 season, he averaged 5.1 points and 3.4 rebounds while ranking second on the team with 30 steals, and across his UNF career he piled up 112 games played, 73 starts, and 179 assists. He’s the kind of multi-position, high-motor player coaches love: not a pure scorer, but a steady connector who could guard up a lineup, crash the glass, and make winning plays. If you need versatility and toughness over flash, he fit the bill.
