Daja Wentz Brings Versatile Guard Play and Winning Experience to Rider
Daja Wentz is a compact, steady guard whose value comes from doing a little bit of everything: at Monroe in 2019-20, she averaged 11.1 points, 59 assists, and 41 steals while also leading the team in free-throw percentage and ranking second in 3-point percentage, showing two-way impact and reliable shot-making[3]. She was praised for playing consistent basketball whether starting or coming off the bench, and later at Macalester she was described as one of the more reliable players and the leading bench scorer while shooting 51.9% from the field and 41.2% from deep[3][14]. If Rider wants a guard who competes, spaces the floor, and doesn’t need the spotlight to matter, she fits that profile well[3][14].
