Iowa State’s field-flipping punter with NFL-level leg strength
Kirby Van Der Kamp was a weapon for Iowa State in the 2010-2013 seasons, finishing with 289 career punts — the most in Big 12 history — and a 42.4-yard career average, the second-best mark in Cyclones history and 21st-best in NCAA history among punters with at least 250 punts. In the 2012 season, he averaged 41.6 yards per punt, landed 27 kicks inside the 20, and uncorked 17 punts of 50+ yards. The differentiator here is field position mastery: big-time hang time, elite placement, and even fake-punt versatility (7-for-7 on career conversions).
