the Aztecs’ defensive-minded center with veteran grit
Kalena Tutt is best remembered at San Diego State as a hard-nosed interior presence: in 2012, she earned Mountain West all-defensive honors, and team notes described her as one of the Aztecs’ most experienced players in the 2011-12 rotation[6][8]. She’s the kind of center coaches like because she brings toughness, reliable positioning, and a defense-first identity more than flashy scoring[5][6]. If your team needs a vocal, physical paint defender with veteran poise and buy-in, she fits; if you need a high-volume offensive centerpiece, that wasn’t her calling card[5][8].
