NC State TE Walk-On Turned Scholarship Special Teams Warrior
Thomas Ruocchio, a 6-4, 230-pound Raleigh native from Cardinal Gibbons HS (10 rec, 114 yds as senior in 2015), earned a scholarship at NC State after playing all 12 games in 2019 mainly on special teams, backing up TE Cary Angeline in 2020. A team captain, Offensive MVP in HS, and National Honor Society member, his leadership, reliability, and blocking intensity make him a coach's dream for depth roles—no gaudy stats, but zero injury issues and proven grinder fit for teams needing tough, versatile TEs who elevate units off the field.
