Lamar's Intense Junior Guard with Elite Steals and All-Around Play
Dee Burchett, a 6'3"-6'4" guard for the Lamar Cardinals, is a high-intensity differentiator who averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals per game at Southwest Tennessee Community College before joining Lamar in 2005. His elite steal rate and all-around stat sheet reveal a defensive pest with the personality to elevate team intensity, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a versatile, data-driven leader. While his 2005 redshirt year and 2006 junior status show he's still developing, his consistent 5-steal average and 6-assist floor generalship offer context beyond raw scoring: he's a playmaker who thrives under pressure. You should care because Burchett isn't just a scorer; he's a stat leader in steals and assists who brings Lamar's defensive identity to life. For your team, he's a good fit if you need a guard who can control tempo, create steals, and lead with intensity.
