Shyra Ely was Tennessee’s do-it-all engine: rebounding, scoring, and postseason bite
In her Tennessee career, Shyra Ely developed into a high-impact forward whose value went well beyond the box score: she finished with 1,673 points and 940 rebounds, ranked among the program’s all-time leaders, and twice led the Lady Vols in scoring average while also pacing the team in rebounds three times. In the 2004-05 season, she was a 14.4 points-per-game scorer and 7.0 rebounds-per-game presence, with All-America and SEC Tournament MVP-level production that showed toughness, versatility, and big-game confidence.
