Baylor WR with Juco-Elite Speed and a Quarterback's Mind
John David Weed, the Baylor Bears WR (#17), is a 4-star talent who switched from reserve QB to inside receiver in spring 2024, giving him a unique quarterback's field vision that most WRs lack. Though his 2024 college stats show only 1 rec, 14 yards, and 0 TDs (likely due to a late spring transition and limited snaps), his 2024 juco stats were elite: 58 receptions, 997 yards, and 13 TDs. Weed's differentiators include his juco-caliber speed, intense practice intensity, and a personality described as 'rising on the spot' under pressure. He has no major injury history, and his QB background makes him a perfect fit for teams needing a versatile, high-intensity WR who can read defenses like a quarterback. Care about him because he's a hidden gem with juco-proven production and a rare mental edge.
