Big-bodied Blue Hens catcher with gap-to-gap upside and a developing bat
In the 2026 season, Cole Carbone has been a depth piece for Delaware who can catch or fill the DH spot, appearing in 18 games with six starts, and he flashed his best offensive game with his first career multi-hit performance against Western Kentucky on May 14, 2026. He’s a 6-foot-2, 210-pound left-handed hitter with a strong frame, and his background notes real RBI/slugging pop in high school plus academic/coach-trusted reliability. The fit angle: he looks like a physical, high-upside glue guy who can handle versatile duties, but the current production says he’s still more of a developmental add than a finished middle-of-the-order bat.
