Coleton Benson is a high-volume, high-confidence shot-maker for New Orleans
Benson’s value is his perimeter scoring punch: in the 2025-26 season for New Orleans, he has averaged about 16.2 points per game while logging heavy minutes, and he has been especially dangerous from three-point range, ranking among the nation’s better volume shooters early in the season. He also showed top-end shot-making upside last season with a 33-point outburst against Tulane and earned Southland Player of the Week honors, which supports the view that he can swing games when he gets hot. He looks like a fit for teams that want a guard who spaces the floor, embraces pressure moments, and can create offense without needing a huge usage ecosystem.
