Sacred Heart’s James Aselta brings a heavy right-handed frame, but still needs sharper results on the mound
In the 2026 season, Sacred Heart RHP James Aselta appeared in two games and logged 3.0 innings with a 9.00 ERA and one strikeout, after making 11 appearances in the earlier season notes with a 15.19 ERA over 10.2 innings[1][2]. The draw here is the profile: a 6-foot-1, 195-pound righty with Division I experience, but his value now hinges on cleaner command, getting more consistent outs, and turning flashes into trustable innings[1][3]. He looks like a depth arm rather than an instant-impact starter, but there’s still room for a bullpen-friendly makeover if the stuff plays up.
