Holy Cross CB John Smith: Reliable, Physical, and Coach-Trusted
John Smith was a full-time starter at cornerback for Holy Cross in 2022, earning the team’s Davitt Award as its top defensive back and the Hammer Award while posting 47 tackles and 28 solo stops in 13 games, which points to a tough, assignment-sound defender rather than a flashy stat-stuffer.[7] He looks like a fit for a team that values consistency, physical tackling, and durability on the back end, but public sources here do not provide current 2026 performance updates or recent injury context.[4][7]
