Max Aude brings veteran pop, on-base skills, and pro upside to Pepperdine
In the 2026 season, Max Aude hit .261 with a .432 on-base percentage and showed real situational value, batting .360 with runners in scoring position and .333 with runners on base; he also added power with a home run and 14 RBIs. Pepperdine describes him as a senior C/1B, and his pro signing with the Athletics after the season signals there’s more here than just box-score production[1][2][3]. He’s a strong fit for a team that wants a physical, mature catcher/first baseman who competes in high-leverage spots and can handle the middle of a lineup without needing the spotlight to do damage[2][4].
