Versatile, high-motor forward who did a little of everything at UMass
Buttrick was a tough, 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward for UMass who brought veteran polish, rebounding, and two-way versatility more than flash. In the 2021-22 season, he started all 32 games and averaged 28.2 minutes per game for the Minutemen, showing the kind of steady, high-IQ presence coaches love. His college career finished with 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, with solid shooting touch for a forward. The biggest fit factor: he looked like a reliable glue guy, not a stat-chaser.
