Taryn Batterton is a frontline **GCU ace** who wins with strike-throwing, changeup deception, and big-game poise
Batterton has been one of Grand Canyon’s most reliable arms in 2026, opening the year with a 6-0 start, a 1.06 ERA, and a complete-game shutout of Minnesota, and she later earned Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors after another scoreless series-clinching outing. Her profile is built on command, efficiency, and the ability to miss bats without living in the strike zone’s power lanes, which makes her valuable in pressure games and tournament settings. She already has a track record of no-hit stuff and multiple complete games, so she looks like a high-confidence fit for teams needing a durable, competitive right-handed starter.
