Jake Cullen’s rising arm gives Rhode Island a steady, strikeout-capable rotation piece
In the 2026 season, Jake Cullen has emerged as a key right-handed option for Rhode Island, logging 60.0 innings with 61 strikeouts and a 6.75 ERA, after breaking through in 2025 as a true freshman Sunday starter who posted a 3-2 record, 53.1 innings, and a 5.57 ERA. He earned Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week honors in 2025 after 8.0 scoreless innings and 13 strikeouts across two appearances, and his profile screams competitive: he attacks hitters, can work deep enough to matter, and has already handled high-leverage rotation and bullpen roles. If you need upside, mound toughness, and a pitcher who has already flashed conference recognition, Cullen is worth the look.
