Local-speed slot weapon with proven hands and game-breaking punt-return juice
Brent Walters brings a compact, versatile receiving profile and special-teams pop to Lamar; in high school, he posted 52 catches for 547 yards and 6 receiving touchdowns as a senior, plus a 47-yard punt-return TD, which hints at burst and toughness rather than just raw volume. The key “why care” factor is his playmaking versatility: he can threaten underneath, create yards after the catch, and change field position in a flash. If you want an athlete who adds juice and versatility, he’s the kind of fit that can quietly swing drives.
