Jax Abalos brings size, shooting touch, and upside to Cornell’s frontcourt
Abalos is a 6'8" freshman forward for Cornell who has already shown he can contribute in limited minutes, averaging 2.8 points in 6.6 minutes across 12 games while knocking down 6 threes in the 2025-26 season.[6] His value is less about raw box-score volume and more about versatility: he can stretch the floor, has shown defensive activity with a block and a steal in early action, and arrives with a proven high-school track record as a productive scorer/rebounder and respected all-conference player.[6][12]
