Steady Western Carolina LB with a clear role in the run game
Vaught profiles as a depth-and-discipline linebacker for Western Carolina, with his current stat line showing more assisted-tackle production than splash plays, suggesting a player who fits best in a system that values reliable pursuit and assignment soundness over headline-grabbing disruption.[1][3] His value is less about sacks or turnovers and more about being a steady, low-mistake piece who can help clean up plays between the tackles, which makes him a sensible fit for teams needing dependable linebacker depth rather than an immediate star.[1][3]
