Transfer-Ready INF with 313 AVG and Elite Shortstop Versatility for Mississippi State
Ryder Woodson, a 6-3/190 sophomore infielder transferred from NC State to Mississippi State for the 2026 season, brings a proven 0.313 batting average and 7 runs scored in limited action, showcasing immediate offensive impact as a right-handed hitter and thrower. His differentiator is elite shortstop versatility (listed as SS on Cape Cod League records) combined with the intensity of a player still processing his first season setback after an 11-1 start, indicating high resilience and competitive fire. With no injury history noted and a personality described as reflective yet driven, Woodson is a high-fit INF for teams needing a reliable, contact-oriented defender who can anchor the middle infield while contributing consistently at the plate.
