Wyoming’s veteran free safety Luke Ruff brings leadership, toughness, and playmaking to the backend
Luke Ruff is a senior free safety for Wyoming who enters the season as a team leader and the Cowboys’ projected starter at the position, which makes him worth watching for reliability and communication in the secondary.[2] His high-impact high school résumé—115 tackles, four fumble recoveries, one interception, and three blocked kicks in his senior year—points to a physical, instinctive defender with range and a knack for creating disruption.[2] He looks like a fit for teams that value experience, special-teams grit, and steady defensive presence more than flashy stat lines.[2]
