Jaylen Williams brings poise, efficiency, and veteran calm to Longwood’s backcourt
In the 2025-26 season, Longwood guard Jaylen Williams has been a low-usage, steady role player: 1.2 points, 0.6 assists, and 0.3 steals per game while shooting 30.0% from the field and 83.3% at the line. The bigger story is his experience and maturity—he arrived after four productive seasons at Shenandoah, where he averaged 17.0 points per game in his career, and he’s been praised for strong academics and leadership. If you need a composed guard who can fit into a system, not hijack it, he’s that guy.
