Caleb Abrom brings veteran DB savvy and ball skills to Lamar
In the 2019 season, Caleb Abrom’s profile stood out for playmaking at defensive back: 12 total tackles, 11 solo stops, a tackle for loss, an interception, and four pass breakups. He also showed special-teams value earlier in his career, including strong punt-return production in high school, which hints at burst and confidence in space. The selling point is his versatility and experience—he has been around the program long enough to understand leverage, spacing, and how to finish plays. If a team wants a DB with instincts and a nose for the ball, he’s the kind of fit that quietly makes coaches happy.
