Abby Henderson is the innings-eating heart of Coastal Carolina’s circle
In the 2026 season, Abby Henderson has been Coastal Carolina’s workhorse right-hander, highlighted by a complete-game shutout of Marshall in the Sun Belt tournament and a huge upset win over No. 15 Arizona. She isn’t a pure strikeout artist, but she competes hard, gets ground balls, and can grind through lineups with poise under pressure. The upside is clear: durable, battle-tested, and trusted in big moments. The caution flag is command and run prevention consistency, so she looks like a fit for a team that values toughness and feel over overpowering velocity.
